About the storm

Exactly one week after the hurricane, I'm writing again.

Well, fortunately nothing bad happen, and at last we had a good excuse for spend a nice time in the office and later going to a Student Bar in one dormitory. The next day I saw a lot of felt trees but nothing else than these.

Now I'm in the middle of other storm but this is a personal one, I hope the result of this one will be the same as the hurricane.

Storm!

Today here in Dortmund the weather is not so good, is windy and raining. The reports said is a storm. Today we had elections but it was cancelled due the storm, and everybody is going home. I have a weird feeling, I'm used to this kind of weather conditions because I was living in the coast in Mexico and every year we have this kind of storms, however seeng everyone worry about it have made me feel nervous too. For sure everything will be ok but I still have this feeling.

My mean of Transport in Dortmund!

This is my mean of transport from my home to the AIESEC office: the famous H-Bahn of the University of Dortmund, a suspended monorail.

I like to take it everyday (well, except weekend because is closed); it's like be in a ride at a funfair, LOL. to learn more about the H-Bahn...

Also you can see this 9 sec video.

Cheers

Happy New year 2007!

The new year eve celebration was a great experience for me, starting with a dinner in Alex's house (ER coordinator in the committee) with his girlfriend Tina, Alla and Anna (VP PD and OGX respectively).

For first time I tried the Chilli con Carne (very known dish usually attributed to the Mexican cuisine). My friends asked me if this dish is really Mexican and told them I supposed that it was from the north of the country, as the burritos. So to know the real origin of it was one of my homework for today. and actually even that there is a discussion about the origin of this recipe, it's the official dish of Texas. (to learn more..)

After the dinner we drank a toast, and we had a nice time talking about different things.

Later it was time for partying! so we went to a place here in Dortmund called SIXX P.M., this is 5 places in one, with different kind of music in each one and different atmosphere.

We danced a lot! and at midnight, we congratulated each other and drank a toast for the starting year. Later we went to the parking lot to see the fireworks.

Definitely It was a great day!

Now, a new year has started. Even that it's a time mark, the feeling that something new is starting is hopeful and exciting , and it gives a sensation of change and a great opportunity for establish new goals for the starting year.

I wish you the best for this year and I hope I also will have a lot of things to write in this blog.

Well as an extra of this post finally one of my biggest doubts in this like (LOL) was solved today by surfing in one of the nomadlife links: First it was the Egg!

greetings!
